Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
The short version
Your photo, signature and Aadhaar never leave your device. PanResize does all its work inside your browser, so we never receive, see or store your files. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It counts page visits, never your files. We don't show ads.
1. Who we are
PanResize.com ("PanResize", "we") is a free, independent tool for resizing PAN card photos, signatures and Aadhaar PDFs. This policy covers panresize.com. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. The files you resize
When you choose a photo, signature or Aadhaar image, your browser reads it into memory on your own device. Cropping, rotation, background whitening, compression, DPI tagging and PDF creation all happen there, using your browser's built-in canvas features. The files are never sent to our servers or anyone else's.
The processed files exist only in that browser tab. Tapping Start over, refreshing the page or closing the tab clears them. Anything you download is saved to your device, and you control it from then on.
3. What we don't collect
We don't collect or store your name, PAN, Aadhaar number, date of birth, photograph, signature or any other details from your documents. There are no user accounts, so there's no profile to build.
4. What is collected
Three things, and only these three:
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, handles every request to the website and keeps standard technical records such as IP address, browser type and time of visit. It uses them for security and to keep the site running. These logs never contain your files, because your files are never sent.
- Emails you send us. If you write to support, we get your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it only to reply, and we delete correspondence once it's no longer needed. Please don't attach identity documents.
- Visit statistics from Google Analytics. Which pages were viewed, how you arrived, your approximate region, and your device and browser type. We use this to understand how people use the site. It never includes your photo, signature, Aadhaar or PAN details.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, to measure how the website is used. It sets cookies in your browser (such as _ga) so repeat visits from the same visitor can be recognised, and it sends the statistics described above to Google. Google handles that data under its own privacy policy. We don't use Google Analytics advertising or remarketing features.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The tool works exactly the same either way. PanResize itself sets no cookies of its own and shows no ads.
6. Password-protected PDFs
PanResize works with images, not encrypted PDFs. To include an e-Aadhaar, use a photo or screenshot of each side. We never ask for, and can't read, your e-Aadhaar password.
7. Children
A minor's PAN application should be prepared by a parent or guardian. Because we don't collect document data from anyone, we hold no information about children.
8. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or erase it. In practice, the only personal data we could hold is an email you've sent us. Write to [email protected] and we'll act on your request.
9. Links to other websites
We link to official sites such as Protean and UTIITSL. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave PanResize.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how PanResize handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. See also our terms of service and about page.
11. Not a government website
PanResize is not affiliated with Protean eGov Technologies (formerly NSDL e-Gov), UTIITSL or the Income Tax Department of India.
